It’s our best room for those traveling alone and on a budget because it’s priced from just £60 during low season to a top price of £70 in high season.
It’s outstanding value yet still offers all the five star trimmings.
So what’s good about it then?
Well Room 4 is much more cosy now because of the bespoke day bed. We found that guests staying alone in their room don’t much like to sit on a chair unless they are sat at a desk on a computer. So now Room 4 has a day bed so you can lounge away the hours in comfort. There’s also a chair don’t worry.
Our favourite piece: a really cool vintage gentleman’s wardrobe is the perfect place for one person to arrange their luggage. It’s brilliant and it took ages to find it. This year the design is a country chic toile – cows! A bright white paint finish above the picture rail gives the room a fresh and modern feel and a couple of interesting light fittings give you an ambience that says – “wine and kettle chips please”. The blind is black out so you can treat yourself to a lie in on the new bed. Top of the list for guests is a powerful shower, fluffy towels, great breakfast and a comfortable bed. Well tick, tick, tick room 4 has got it. Budget or not…..you still get the Molton Brown toiletries…. oh yeah.
Room 4 is smashin’ but nothing we can do will provide the harbour view. (We did look into the cost of rotating the house a few degrees but that was just way too expensive). If a single room overlooking Falmouth’s harbour remains your number one requirement then have no fear, click to Room 6 for another lovely room but with a gorgeous town and harbour view. For those of you who will be out all day and only in at night go for Room 4, it’s a budget busting beauty. Max Occ 1 person.

To secure an advance reservation:-
Once you have found your room and chosen to book you will be asked for your card details in order to secure the reservation.
No money will be taken from your card. Instead your card will be pre authorised for the full balance of your booking. Although your card will not be charged your bank may reduce your spending by the amount authorised. You card will be charged the full amount 7 days before you stay.
Card details will be kept securely using STRIPE and used to pay the full balance 7 days before your stay, in case of cancellation less than 7 days prior to your stay, alteration less than 7 days before your stay or additional purchases while you stay. Card details are deleted securely upon your departure. Through this process Highcliffe is GDPR and PCI Compliant. No member of the Highcliffe team is able to access your card details.
We do not accept AMEX, cheque, bank transfer or postal order.
What if you want to change your card? When the balance is due – 7 days before your arrival – you will be sent an email message with an easy click ‘pay now’ button. If you do not pay the pre authorisation will be charged.
No exceptions will be made to the terms and conditions.
No reason for cancellation is ever a nice one and often arises because of devastating personal circumstance or a change of plan last minute. Please remove the costly problem of cancelling your holiday by taking out insurance, however unlikely you think your cancellation may be. PLEASE TAKE OUT INSURANCE AS SOON AS YOU BOOK in order to cover yourself fully. Please understand that you were made aware of these terms at time of booking in order for us to save your room for you. Please don’t ask us to void our terms and conditions. Verbal abuse will be reported.
Travel insurance will cover you for your deposit and the cost of the holiday. Please don’t put more pressure on yourself and make sure you are insured. Travel insurance for UK based holidays can be as little as £6.00 per person, please consider this option. Try www.comparethemarket.com or www.gocompare.com for a variety of insurance quotes. Again cover your holiday straight away: buy insurance as soon as you’ve booked your stay and your travel.
Please note: in a case of unforseen circumstance, Highcliffe may need to reallocate you to another room. If we need to cancel your holiday we will fully refund you. In case of cancellation no further payment other than the cost of your stay with Highcliffe will be made.
